Maybe I'm just getting old, but it makes me sad to see a gorgeous young woman dressing like she's 30 years old and caked in make up. Particularly when, less than two years ago, she looked this fresh and pretty (don't love the pink floral and yellow shoes combo, but you get my drift).

That is my biggest fear about having a girl- that she will miss out on her childhood, replacing it with dying her hair, wearing makeup and dressing like she's older than she is. It makes me so so sad to see 10, 11 year olds, tiny little girls dressing up like that. But whose fault is it? Media? Parent? Technology? And what can we do about it?
It's very sad. On the show (Gossip Girl, love it!) she went from sweet and beautiful to this little vixen almost overnight (with no explanation in the story line). I agree with Mel about the fear as a mother that this will happen to our girls. I only hope that my little one will have more respect for herself than this.
Yeah, totally don't get what they did to her. I admit I love that show, but what the hell?
