I adore
Country Road...and now I love them even more than I did a couple of hours ago. Because they have given me the gift of the most flattering jeans I have owned in years!
That's them in the picture above (although I think it's worth pointing out they look nothing like that on me.) They are high-waisted, dark denim with a nicely flared leg and they hold all the post-baby wobbly bits in perfectly.
Look, honestly, chances are I'll never wear them with a tucked-in shirt...but the line they give
under a top is so nice that I don't care. Plus I don't have to worry about whether half my arse is hanging out every time I bend over.
My only sadness is that the tailor can't alter them until Monday (my leg length:heft ratio is rather low so they have to whip about half a foot of denim off the bottom) but from Tuesday onwards they'll be my new wardrobe staple.

i'm nervous about high waisted pants. I have plenty of wobble without a baby, but I'm also very short. And very short waisted. I'm worried high waisted pants would sit right under my boobs!
I'm going to have to try these on and I need a new pair of every days jeans- thanks for the tip!
I'm off to Country Road! Hate buying jeans.
I have these jeans from CR - wore them out to dinner last night actually. Love em - very very flattering. You can even sit through a 2 course dinner and not have to undo your top button. Tip though: be weary of your underwear, a potential camel toe awaits.
Oh, to hold in wobbly bits!!! I, too, am a big CR fan - and a fan of the return of the high-muffin-top-hiding waist... although they do make your bum look bigger. Answer? Wear a jacket or long top that covers the top half of your rear - make it look half the size, and that's got to be a good thing! :)
I just got a pair of similar jeans by Lee - not only did they fit (one can never be too sure when one purchases such things on eBay), but they are flattering! You're right about the muffin-top management.
Talking of successful finds for the bottom half - might I extol American Apparel's Genie Sweatpants? Genie-us (sorry)!
