Virtual Changeroom Tag

I'm not sure whether to kiss or curse Iris of Fleur Delice for introducing me to Polyvore, a wonderful time waster of a site which allows you to create virtual outfits from thousands of pieces.

I headed on over there after seeing her effort in response to a post by Miss Lady Finger which said:

"If I asked you to slip on a pair of jeans, a simple top, a pair of flat shoes, and any accessories you liked, what would you come up with? No doubt you'd come out looking vastly different to the next person, but how?"

Ahhh...how nice it was to shop with a virtual platinum Visa. How well the designer clothes fit my virtual bump-free body. How flattering the virtual changeroom mirrors were...I'm never going to a real store again.

As you can see by my outfit, I like clean lines and funky accessories. It's been years since I've worn gold jewellery but that didn't stop me matching some very cool pieces to my Vivienne Westwood top and Dolce and Gabbana Jeans.

Oh yes, it appears that when budget isn't a consideration I have very expensive tastes indeed!

So, what are you waiting for? Head on over and design your jeans-top-flats combo...I can't wait to see the results!

That top is incredible!! I still haven't gotten into the Polyvore because I'm afraid it will steal even more of my day than blogging already does now.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!
Pleeeeeeeese don't show me things like this.
My virtual life is already threatening to take over my real life, and my real children need real food or they'll really starve!!!

You're a wise woman Kristin - it is a big time-stealer! My perfectionist side takes over & I scroll through hundreds of items looking for the exact one I'm picturing.

Amanda I love your outfit. That clutch is just beautiful, I can just imagine it on the red carpet, or a well-deserved evening out with hubby! And the bangle reminds me of a beautiful ebony ring I was given, but which sadly broke.

oh no! that is way too much fun. It's bookmarked 'cos obviously I have soooo much spare time on my hands.
I found it really funny that out of all the shoes to choose from, I ended up with silver Havaianas. Hey, they went with my outfit! I don't even have a silver pair - only black, white or purple!
Will be picking a fancy outfit tomorrow in my mucho spare time.

This outfit is smokin'! I particularly love the Art Deco-style clutch.

My reasoning is that, if I spend more time on Polyvore, I'll spend less time on eBay (and there'll be less wallet-carnage) ;-)
