The lovely Chantelle from fatmumslim tapped me on the shoulder in a new photo tag thingy...over to her to explain:
It's really simple. I love how every photo tells a story. Some short stories, some long tales. I want to know what is your favourite photo of yourself. Everyone has one. The photo they look at and smile. It reminds them of something, some time, some place. A moment in time. So share the photo, share the story and then tag three other people. I want to see photos and stories all around the blogosphere.
This is mine...my absolute favourite photo ever. It's of my sister, Lindi, and I. I think I'm about 2 years old, which would make her about 9 months - oh yes, my mum had her work cut out for her!
I love this photo for a few different reasons. Firstly, my sister is my best friend in the entire world. We may not talk as much as we should these days, being busy mums, but she's always there in my heart and my head. This photo shows how early that loving relationship started.
Secondly, I look at this photo and see that history is repeating itself with my beautiful girls. Olivia is the absolute image of me...and the rough, loving arm slung over my sister's shoulder is so much like Liv's 'killing kindness' for Sophia.
I can only hope that my sweet daughters are lucky enough to have a kindred spirit in their sister as I do in mine. Love you, Loo. xox

oh sweet. I could write the same thing about my sister and photos of us. Similarly close in age, best friends in the world. You can't beat that sort of thing.
You made me cry!
I can see Olivia and Millie so evident in this photo. I didn't realise how alike they are to their beautiful Mums.
Oh Amanda. It's so sweet and ironic you tagged me in this one. I too had a sister, my only sibling. She was 20 months younger than me and we were extremely close. She died 19 months ago, 3 weeks before my beautiful baby Boo was born.
My middle child, my big girl, looks like my late sister, and always makes me feel like she is with me. And I love the closeness my son and daughter share, and the love they show their baby sister.
Beautiful photo xxx
Amanda, that's so beautiful. I really enjoyed reading that.
Thanks for sharing, and playing along. xx

thanks for tagging me - il put mine up soon!
That's beautiful Amanda!
I know what you mean about not talking as much as we should because life gets in the way sometimes...
That is such a lovely post and a beautiful photo. Just really, really sweet.
Gorgeous photo and lovely post.
I have similar photos of my sister and I and now, with history repeating itself, I have ones of my two girls!
