Long time readers will know that our youngest daughter, Sophia was in a wee bit of a hurry to enter the world. Well, I feel incredibly fortunate to have been asked to write a guest post for my favourite blog, MamaMia, on what life is like as the mum of a premmie.
Not only was it cathartic getting my feelings out on paper (or PC as it were) I have been absolutely blown away by the wonderful comments from readers.

Beautifully written.
I know your little fighter will keep on fighting :-)
Gulp. Thank you for that beautiful post Amanda. My goodness! I can't imagine going through something so heart wrenching and I can't tell you how much I admire your strength.
A friend of mine had a similar situation and her daughter went on to become the most feisty toddler and the most stubborn child and is now the strongest, most capable adult. These little fighters seem to grow up with incredible fortitude for whatever life throws at them.
It was beautifully written and expressed. Thank you for sharing.
I'm really touched for you. Aren't there a lot of loving people out there in the world!? Good to realise actually!
It was a truly heart-felt post that you wrote. Hugs to ya!
That was a wonderful read, Amanda. Thank you for sharing yours and Sophia's story with us.
Your post had me in tears. Thank you for sharing something so personal and moving.
Thank you ladies...xox
You are a real trooper Amanda. Thanks for sharing. xxx
What a beautiful well-written post Amanda... you brought tears to my eyes!
Well done x
This is such a great post, Amanda - you're so wonderfully eloquent and an amazing mum to boot.
It's also really generous of you to share something quite personal like this - it certainly puts things firmly in perspective and makes me a more grateful, appreciative mama.
Thank you! xxx
