Life as the mum of a premmie

Long time readers will know that our youngest daughter, Sophia was in a wee bit of a hurry to enter the world. Well, I feel incredibly fortunate to have been asked to write a guest post for my favourite blog, MamaMia, on what life is like as the mum of a premmie.

Not only was it cathartic getting my feelings out on paper (or PC as it were) I have been absolutely blown away by the wonderful comments from readers.

Read it here!

Gulp. Thank you for that beautiful post Amanda. My goodness! I can't imagine going through something so heart wrenching and I can't tell you how much I admire your strength.

A friend of mine had a similar situation and her daughter went on to become the most feisty toddler and the most stubborn child and is now the strongest, most capable adult. These little fighters seem to grow up with incredible fortitude for whatever life throws at them.

This is such a great post, Amanda - you're so wonderfully eloquent and an amazing mum to boot.

It's also really generous of you to share something quite personal like this - it certainly puts things firmly in perspective and makes me a more grateful, appreciative mama.

Thank you! xxx
