What a brilliant day! We've started a bit of a new Sunday tradition which I'm absolutely loving. Once the girls are awake (usually verrrrrry early) we walk the 10 minutes or so down to our local shops. It's a small but quality arrangement of places to eat, organic and homeopathic merchants, and general necessities.
We were disappointed a few months ago to learn that our favourite restaurant, Element, was morphing into a cafe (we thought "if it ain't broke, why fix it?") We shouldn't have worried. Its new face, EU Cafe, is brilliant and has added a new energy to the strip.
Check out some of it's offerings: A bowl of Cafe Au Lait and "The Relatively Large Breakfast"...my hubby's claim to fame is being the first person to manage to scoff both in one sitting!

That breakfast looks amazing! I know the shops you're talking about, the Chinese restaurant there is the best in Canberra.
Really? You know, we've never tried the Chinese place...Vietnamese a heap of times, though. Will have to give it a whirl!
